Dr. George Waters, Formerly of Scientific Atlanta, Joins ICP as Director of Engineering

International Communications Products (ICP) Inc., located in West Melbourne, Florida, has appointed Dr. George Waters as Director of Engineering. Dr. Waters will be responsible for new product design and development for ICP's data and audio markets. Dr. Waters is well known for his outstanding achievements in satellite communications, where he holds five key patents. He now brings his 25 years of leading edge experience to ICP.

Prior to joining ICP, Dr. Waters was one of only two employees to be awarded the prestigious title of Principal Engineer at Scientific-Atlanta in Melbourne. During his 11 years there, he was a key innovator in data VSAT, audio distribution and data broadcast products. The data broadcast product line was later acquired by ICP when Scientific Atlanta exited that business.

Dr. Waters was previously employed in the satellite communications division at Harris Corporation in Melbourne as their chief RF and modem designer. His designs included the NBC Skypath control system, and data products supplied to UPI and AP. Dr. Waters received his doctorate at Oxford University in physics.

ICP provides digital satellite broadcast products for news and photo services, radio distribution, financial services, paging and other broadcast applications.
