The Associated Press (AP) has awarded International Communications Products (ICP), Inc. of West Melbourne, Florida a second follow on contract for its DCR-972 DigiCeiver Digital Satellite Broadcast Receiver.
The initial contract was awarded in April 1998 for 4000 receivers and complete head-end equipment. A follow on order was received one year later for an additional 300 receivers. The latest contract added another 500 receivers that now brings the total receivers ordered to over 4,800 units. Deliveries on the the first two contracts of 4300 DCR-972 receivers are complete. The latest order is scheduled for delivery in the 4 Quarter of 2000.
